AI hearing aids adapt to your ears

The new Phonak Audeo Infinio range optimises clarity by making real-time fine-tuning adjustments and wirelessly sending sound to your “good” ear.

Imagine starting your day with a quiet breakfast, your hearing aids smoothly adjusting to the calm of the early morning. On a drive, they instinctively manage road noise outside so you can listen and chat easily in the car. At a busy cafe, they filter out background noise and enhance speech clarity for better conversations.

Meet the new Phonak Audeo Sphere Infinio. Part of the Phonak Audeo Infinio range of hearing aids, it uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve hearing and speech clarity in noisy environments, reducing the effort needed to listen.

“The Audeo Sphere Infinio is the world’s first hearing aid with a dedicated AI chip. Equipped with the Autosense 6.0 operating system, it continually analyses the acoustic environment and makes automatic real-time adjustments to optimise sound clarity and comfort for any environment,” says Ms Angelina Wong, senior audiologist at 20dB Hearing Singapore.

Also fitted with motion sensors, the device can detect movement and automatically adjust the microphone settings to optimise hearing on the go. ”This provides a clear and balanced sound experience for conversations while walking,” adds Ms Wong.

In tune with users’ needs

Sleek, discreet and comfortable, the range of new Audeo Infinio hearing aids comprises models Audeo R, Audeo Sphere and CROS . These boast an array of advanced features designed to improve users’ hearing health and overall quality of life, says Ms Wong.

For instance, each hearing aid can be paired with up to eight Bluetooth-enabled devices and maintain two active connections at any one time. This means you can seamlessly switch from a movie on your laptop, to a phone call and back, without any lag time.

If you have unilateral hearing loss – where one ear can hear better than the other – opt for the CROS . It is equipped with a transmitter that will pick up sounds from the side with more hearing loss (the poorer ear) and wirelessly transmit them to the hearing aid on the “good” ear.

“This provides a more balanced hearing experience by improving hearing in daily environments where sounds come from all directions,” says Ms Wong.

The Phonak Audeo Infinio hearing aids are fully automatic and also allow users to conveniently make quick, real-time adjustments using the myPhonak app. Plus, they come with rechargeable lithium-ion batteries that have adequate battery life for a whole day’s worth of usage on a single charge. The hearing aids are also durable enough to withstand exposure to dust, sweat and seawater.

“As hearing care professionals, we understand the profound impact hearing can have on an individual’s life. The Audeo Infinio series embodies the future of hearing technology, thanks to the integration of AI, enhanced connectivity and user-friendly features,” adds Ms Wong.
